Welcome to The Shiraz Academy
At Shiraz Academy in Birmingham, we proudly offer three dedicated departments designed to nurture creativity, communication, and cultural connection:
Language, with English and Persian courses from beginner to advanced levels; Music, featuring expert-led classes in piano, guitar, santoor, percussion, and children’s music; and Art, where students explore creativity and painting in a supportive environment.
Music Department
Our Music Department, led by Reza Ansari, offers a rich and engaging learning experience for students of all ages. With expert instruction in piano, guitar, santoor, hand drums and percussion, as well as children’s music classes, we aim to nurture musical talent, creativity, and self-expression in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Language Department
At Shiraz Academy in Birmingham, we offer professional English and Persian (Farsi) courses for all levels, from beginner (A1) to advanced (C2). Our programmes are designed to meet the real needs of learners in the UK – whether for work, study, or daily life.
Hamid Fathi
Hamid Fathi holds a BA in Linguistics and an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, with over 20 years of experience teaching English and Persian to learners of all ages, backgrounds, and proficiency levels.
As Head of the Language Department at Shiraz Academy, he is committed to creating an inclusive and practical learning environment that helps students thrive both linguistically and culturally.
He is especially passionate about designing language programmes that support migrants, students, parents, and children in the UK, with a strong focus on real-world communication and long-term success.

Music Department
At Shiraz Academy’s Music Department, we are proud to work with passionate, skilled, and highly experienced instructors who bring both technical expertise and deep musical understanding to every class. Led by Reza Ansari, Head of the Music Department and a seasoned piano and guitar tutor, our team is committed to inspiring students through personalised guidance and practical, hands-on learning.
Each of our instructors specialises in a particular instrument or age group, offering tailored lessons in piano, guitar, santoor, hand drums and percussion, and children’s music education. With a focus on creativity, confidence, and joy, our teachers help students connect with music on a personal level — whether they are complete beginners or aspiring performers.
Language Department
At Shiraz Academy, our Language Department is led by Hamid Fathi, a dedicated and experienced language educator who specialises in both English and Persian (Farsi) instruction. With his leadership, our team of passionate instructors provides high-quality language education tailored to learners of all levels and backgrounds.
Our teachers use modern, interactive methods that meet the real-world needs of students living in the UK — whether for work, academic goals, or everyday communication. From beginner (A1) to advanced (C2), we support each learner’s journey with a focus on fluency, confidence, and cultural understanding in a friendly and professional environment.
Art Department
At Shiraz Academy, our Art Department is dedicated to nurturing creativity and self-expression through high-quality painting classes for all ages. Our instructors are experienced artists and educators who guide students in developing both technical skills and artistic vision, whether they are beginners or advanced learners.
Through a supportive and inspiring environment, our teachers encourage students to explore different styles, techniques, and materials. With personalised attention and a passion for the visual arts, they help each learner discover their unique voice and bring their imagination to life on canvas.
